Options for your Marquee Lighting
One of the advantages of marquee lighting is that you have range of lighting options not usually available in other venues. The main optons are listed below:
Standard Lighting
Standard lighting consists of paper globes hanging from the roof of a frame marquee with the lighting level set by a dimmer.
Uplighters
Uplighters are light boxes that sit on the floor every 3 metres around the outside of the marquee. They create a very nice soft light in the marquee and are again on a dimmer so that you can set your own light level. Different coloured gels can be inserted into the uplighters to produce a variety of colours.
Chandeliers
Star Cloth
Star Cloth is a black lining which has tiny fibre optic lights woven into it which flicker on and off creating the effect of twinkling stars. This effect is often used over the dance floor area of a marquee, but can also be used to cover the whole roof.
Mini Festoon Lights
These are effectively large fairy lights that can be placed above the roof linings to create an alternative to he star cloth. This is also a popular option over the dance floor as the lights can be left off until the dancing begins!
Pin Spotlights
Pin Spotlights can be used in marquees to highlight individual features such as the wedding cake or the table decorations on each table.
External Lighting
There are also a number of options available to you for lighting outside the marquee. These include strings of lights to go in trees, big floodlights to uplight trees and floodlights on poles to light access to car parks, toilets etc.
