Party Tents

There has been an explosion in the number, and types, of party tents available in recent years. The range is vast, starting from the types of gazebos that are available in most DIY stores through to much larger and stronger specialist party tents.

Party tents are a significantly cheaper option than hiring a marquee and you have the advantage of keeping it at the end of the event. Whether a party tent is right for you and your event will depend on a number of factors :

• The type of event itself - Party tents are not really appropriate for more formal events such as formal weddings and corporate events. For smaller, more casual events then a party tent may well suffice.

• The size of the event - Party tents (with the exception of party marquees) tend to only be suitable for events catering for smaller numbers of people.

• The Weather - Party tents are not made of anywhere near as strong materials as marquees and are also not secured in the same manner. This makes them much more vulnerable to poor weather and high winds especially. The unpredictability of our great British weather can therefore make relying on a party tent a risky option for an event.

If you are looking for an option for a casual summer party, then party tents and gazebos may be a good solution. Be prepared to have a back up plan though, in case the weather is very poor.

If you are looking for something between full marquee hire and a party tent, party marquees are an option worth investigating.
